Every display matters to us, but a few stand out. Here are some of the occasions we have been trusted with, and what made each one a challenge worth getting right.
Case study
The RAF Red Arrows 50th anniversary
We were chosen to fire a display for the 50th anniversary of the RAF Red Arrows, at a secure site within RAF Scampton, opened by a lancework message that read “#REDS 50 SMOKE ON….GO”. Afterwards, Red 10, Squadron Leader Mike Ling, called it the best display ever.

The British Airways i360 launch, out to sea
We were chosen over a number of other companies to fire the launch of the British Airways i360, because it meant designing and performing a complicated display out to sea. We booked a boat for a stable firing platform, loaded in harbour, and sailed out to choreograph a display to music around 500 metres offshore. We could hear the crowd of thousands cheering from the beach.

Two displays from the roof of Southwark Cathedral
For the 800th anniversary of the Great Fire of Southwark, we fired two displays from the top of Southwark Cathedral, with an audience all the way around the firing site and a long climb up the tower. Those of us who worked on it still remember how our legs felt three days later.
Case study
A secret wedding display off the coast
A wedding client came to us at short notice after another company could not deliver his display out to sea. The brief was that nobody but him knew it was happening. We had one team on the beach and one on the barge, and the moment his guests were in place we fired a spectacular display off the coast in Swanage Bay. It was the talk of the town for months.
